When we are distress, we cried out to God. When God helped us and all was well again, we slipped right back into our idol worship—worldly desires.
It’s easy for us to sway from left to right.
Though He revealed Himself to us many times. God is compassionate He always give way out. We just need to choose/aim what’s pleasing to Him.
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you’re tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
He also give a test, to see if we will return to Him.
“I will use them to test Israel and see whether they they will keep the way of the Lord and walk in it as their forefathers did. The Lord has allowed that nations to remain; he did not drive them out at once by giving them into the hands of Joshua.”
Judges 2:22-23 (NIV)
Blessed are those who choose to focus to God.
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the the Father is not in Him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of the eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”
1 John 2:15-17 (NIV)
Thanks for guiding and reminding us to delight you, to choose wisely, to choose you for you be glorified.
“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods of your forefather served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15 (NIV)
Something to think about:
1. Let’s examine our hearts who’s our master.
“For where your treasure is there our heart will be also.”
Whatever or whoever our master is our mission is align to it and everything.
2. Ask God to show you some creative ways to impact others for Him. Also, to guide you to choose wisely as you make decisions, actions—in everything.
You can pray the following:
“Father, guide me to constantly choose you as my master. Guard and examine my heart not missing to pray and doing devotion to you. So that, it will be my habit in turn. Something as my day is incomplete without it. By this it will develop my character that determines my destiny.
These I ask in Jesus name,
