“I have obeyed all these commandments,” the young man replied. “What else do I need to do?” Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven; then come and follow me.”
Matthew 19:20-21 GNT
Jesus is asking us to give up what we’re craving more than Him. Everything is meaningless without God. We may can say what I’m currently doing makes me happy and willing to sacrifice everything though we know it’s temporary.
Yesterday, I’m so happy to be with my last boyfriend but later on while inside the jeep Holy Spirit reminded me that:
“Yes this is Your day LORD for You know how Your will be done and not mine. Thank you 🙂
I’m happy and blessed 🙂
I do know and feels He’s asking me to give up a draining relationship that already ended 4 years and 8 months ago. Many instances happened that shows His sign of contradictory. Which up to now I struggle to give up.
I cried last night for I felt the feeling having a boyfriend again and from my last boyfriend. Who’s now my best friend. Yes he’s right and he keep telling me to give up for its needed and what we must flourish is friendship for almost 9 years and; be open to trust and love again, other than him.
This draining relationship, form as my idolatry. For I am neglecting my relationship with God and making it to be the center of my attention other than God.
Father, I hate myself for I’m having two master other than you. As you said,
“You cannot be a slave of two masters; you will hate one and love the other; you will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
–Matthew 6:24 GNT
And making the other more of my attention than yours. Help me LORD.
Change me from the inside out.
In Jesus name, AMEN.
